Here at the Tornado RCC we do quite a bit for charity. We have individuals raising money for various causes and we also have our annual club event. Please checkout the details below and support our riders with their fundraising.

Rejected by the Ride London ballot (again!)?

Then why not muster your local cycling group and join the Not Ride London - Ride Dorset Cycle Challenge on the same day? All in support of Julia’s House children's hospices, an amazing local charity which provides care and support for life-threatened and life-limited children and their families (www.juliashouse.org).

TRCC members Chris Davis and Ben Salvia are organising a FREE TO ENTER and fun, yet nonetheless challenging ride through the stunning Dorset countryside for local club riders, social cycling groups and like-minded cycling enthusiasts. The routes are intended to be challenging enough to be interesting, but not so insanely brutal that everyone is in bits at the end!

With a choice of 50 or 100 mile routes, Ride Dorset is the perfect alternative for those of us who now find ourselves with a free weekend in July, having not been lucky enough to get a place in this year's Ride London/Surrey 100 ballot.

Entry is completely FREE - all we ask is that entrants make a donation to Julia's House, which you can do here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Chris-DavisBen-Salvia

RideLondon Surrey 100

TRCC rider Richard Wyeth has been wanting to ride this event for a second time, since 2013. This year he is doing it for a charity.

He has chosen the Make A Wish charity as he believes what they do is truly magical, giving seriously ill children a chance to live a dream. A chance to enjoy something before it's too late.

Many of us get to fulfil dreams throughout our life times, but these poor children are lucky if they get to fulfil one. That's where Make A Wish is amazing. He is very happy to be raising money to put a smile on a child's face, to make a dream come true.

Back in 2013 he rode RideLondon-Surrey 100 in 5 hours, this year he is looking to better that.

To find out more and see what he has been up to in preparation for the challenge, please visit his funding page and make a donation: Richard Wyeth
